It's about 19 years ago i did build with the Buildengine (Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Nam, etc. engine/editor) but i forgot most about it. Mainly because i mapped with so many other different editors and games. But, as soon as Ion Fury came out i knew i wanted to map with it.
The maps will have simple names;
SPYmaps Ion Fury 1
SPYmaps Ion Fury 2
and ofcourse will number 3 becalled
SPYmaps Ion Fury 3

I downloaded and extracted these three Ion Fury maps and windows security detected them as viruses. They were detected as "Backdoor:Win32/Bladabindi!ml". Should I be concerned or is this just a false positive? It seemed like a very serious reaction by windows and while I've had a number of false positives with game files before I've never seen this kind of detection, windows even made me restart to remove the threat it was so severe. Hoping it's nothing but man, it scared me.
Hello and let me first thank you for wanting to play my maps. And sorry I didn't see your comment on my IF mapsonly now after I read your pm here. That said, it really surprises me that you do get these virus warnings becauseI winrarred them myself and uploaded them. And, just to be sure I just downloaded and extracted them again,with WinRAR, and I didn't have any trouble. Don't know if you use 7-zip or any other program, but they are known forcausing problems. Although most of the time remains to now extracting the rar. So, should be a false positive becausetill now you are the first who writes to me about such an issue. In fact, believe it never happened even before with allmy other maps and mods in 20 years, lol. By the way, I am using windows 10. So, please just play them, they are reallyfree of any malware and or viruses.sorry for the trouble,Leon (SPYmaps)

Yeah sorry about that it seems like it turned out to be nothing as far as I can tell. I would wager Windows Security is overly sensitive and the definitions are out of whack because of a major security update recently.
