As I stated earlier, I really wanted gorier death animations without sacrificing the vanilla gameplay of the original. RDND was good, but I felt it could have been a bit gorier, so I made it a bit gorier and I reverted the Cacodemon back to it's original vanilla self. As well as adding in an XDeath (or extreme death) for it (and an alternate one so it's mirrored as well). It's pretty fun to basically gib Cacodemons and stuff.
I really wanted to keep within the vanilla aesthetics of Doom, so I added death animations that I felt would feel like Doom death animations. I didn't want to use any death animations that I felt didn't match the flow of gameplay or the overall aesthetic of Doom.
That's why I didn't use that many "Brutal Doom" death animations or "Project Brutality" death animations.
I tried to keep it down to a mininum. Overall I'm quite happy with my work. I made this as a side-project because I felt like doing it for fun, and I made it in one week with SLADE 3 and a bunch of free-time (spring break) and I listened to a lot of Morbid Angel and Slayer while working on this mod.

So whatever you do.... give this mod a try. It's really fun. You'll probably enjoy it, and it's just fucking great. No seriously, it's great. Hands down it's one of the best Doom mods out there, if you are a purist and are hesitant about it, maybe soon a Doom Retro compatible version might come out, if someone is willing to code a version for Doom Retro. =P
