The Panther Pit Thread - Narodnaya Solyanka mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

I had to break some boards to get the prize, but now I can't get out of the pit. I get to the top of the ladder but any move sideways or back causes me to fall back down. There's just not enough clearance to get out of the pit. I tried starting over, but the prize is always in the same spot. Any advice?

I don't know which exact pit you talk about, but there are some cellars and other such places with ladders that are hard to get out of. What usually helps me is starting the climb crouched, and/or trying to jump when at the top. That way I can get out of all such places in a couple of (dozen) tries.

I don't want to give too much away, but my location is a variation of X-8, under the stairs where the Poltergeist is. I'm using the standard HUD with an indicator that shows the actor's posture. According to it, when you get on the ladder you stand up, even starting from a low crouch (Shift+Ctl). I used the 3rd person camera view to confirm this. The problem is that you run into the low, angled ceiling before you actually get to the top of the ladder.

I did manage to escape the pit eventually by holding the low crouch plus backward and jump all at the same time (Shift+Ctl+S+Space). At the top of the ladder, you have to turn to the left as far as possible without falling back down the ladder.
