Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. The only thing left to do is to kill the damned, hoping that you don’t end up like them.

looks awesome! you might wanna scale down the textures just a tiny bit.
Cool.
that's a good texture i really like it.
nice
Awsome! =D
**** :D
Nice so when can we expect 1.52?
Next weekend. We were going to release this weekend, but I know a lot of us have been busy as of late so we had to push things back a bit.
New version of the weapon uploaded. It is done. =)
That is one sweet model! I actually quite like how it looks like it's a shotgun that's been modded into a pistol, because of the colour difference in that section. Kickass.
Looks cool! =D
This is the best shotgun skin/model OF ALL TIME.
impressive the skin of the old weapons
nice work!
auto shotgun in the joint
This is a semi-automatic shotgun, actually.
Erm, why are the plastic parts (stock, pistol grip, pump grip) scratched and showing silver as if they're metal?
There's no logic to the scratching either - most of those surfaces are protected from contact by other edges, etc so they couldn't get scratched.
Plastic scratches, too.
Yeah it does, but it doesn't reveal metal underneath because there isn't any. Plastic is black (or whatever colour it is) all the way through, it's not painted/finished like metal is.
Look.
Damaged plastic:

Parts of the frame are marked and have lost their texture so they go shiny and the slide is scratched but there is only black underneath because it is plastic and that's how plastic is.
Damaged metal:

The finish/paint on the metal is taken off revealing bare metal. Metal without paint or a finish usually has only slight colour changed when scratched due to oxidised surfaces.
Thx for the feedback Daz and for the ref images. I'll look into making a revised version soon.
Quite alright.
Even on something really battered it's best to use wear fairly sparingly ;)
YES I wanted a new shotgun!
Well good! =D
awesome.....!
awesome m1014 >.<
agh they changed the image! oh well there both still very good lol
NICE gray you have your work cut out for you if the animations arent as good as the models u get an official fail!
Don't worry, the animations are solid.
Thanks guys, I'm glad you guys like the texturing. If at anytime you guys have any suggestion on things you want to see more or less of send me a message all suggestions are very much welcomed :)
looks good, nice to see another shotgun getting put into this mod.
Yay a weapon not covered in blood :D
this is one of the best shotguns ive ever seen. fantastic work. i want to play the mod from just this one weapon.
thx bro glad you like it
Can we get a closer up picture of the weapon? I can't say much of the model at this distance, let alone the resolution and detail at this distance.
Viewing at original size doesn't yield much better results, but I notice that the texturing suffers a bit of the Doom3 curse, where the metal takes on a more clay or plastic look. I feel the specular of the gun could use some work to give it that metal feel, even if it doesn't have to be reflective and shiny, it still should retain the properties of being metal. If it is rusty beyond these metal qualities, it shouldn't even be able to function still as a gun.
I like edgy style and the textures are awesome this will surely be my favorite weapon ;)
