Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. I agree, the grenade launcher is probably the most useless thing you have under a zombie outbreak. but ofcource its a game.
The silencer is very realistic tho. I woulda have silencer If I were in a zombie outbreak.

Grenade launcher isn't useless? it helps you to blast hordes of zombies in couple of seconds(if not in one) it would be lame without launcher, cause it is most accuracy explosive device in the game
and silencer? why for? zombies are dead they can't hear you xp
i wish they could have some attachment system like in specialists in hl1 mod , where you can specify what you want to have like scope, silencer etc.

Looks pretty good but it doesn't look entirely like the gun as there are quiet a few errors and missing parts. Look at refrences
Well I did look at about 10 different references for about 8 hours as I modeled this. There are details that are not modeled out, in intentions to be detailed in via normal maps. But please if you see something that might be of error or missing if you could describe it or point it out it would be of much help rather than saying stuffs missing figure it out. :-( ty again for support everyone.

I like the modeling, but one minor mistake is the blocky cutout for the carrying handle(The sight, if you prefer). It's supposed to be straight with curved ends.

Fixed the iron sight, dunno if update version will show here, or just wait till final textured version comes out. Saw exactly what you were talking about and it is fixed...i hope lol. as well as some other minor detail was added. Thx again for the heads up :-)
Looks nice, but it definitely needs a good texture on top. I would also fix the part with the ironsight (at the base of the gun), it looks a bit too blocky. Maybe make it smoother and rounder. Just an idea, what do I know. I'm just a modwatching artist.

It'd be nice if you could use the middle mouse wheel(mouse3) to pull off the grenade launcher from the weapon just because some people maynot like or want to use it =)

Talk to James about toggeled Nade launcher :-), and as far as I know atm there is no siliencer script's written. Not sure if it will be on the gun.
Ryan, perhaps we get rid of the grenade launcher? I know we didn't plan for it, but the folks are right in that we have enough RPGs to go around to replace it. =)

Its a nice model but I agree with the GL statement. Sides how will a civvie know how to reload one too :S And i know that maybe not all the skins will be civvie ones (i hope you get some police or National Guard as its America in there)
And I thought that was a muzzle hider at first :P

Actually, we're looking to replace the current survivor models with S.W.A.T.-type units as soon as possible. I believe we have Rusty and Ryan working on those. Hopefully they'll be ready for v1.50, but no guarantees.
Also, there's no need to wish us good luck with these things. These weapons only have me a few hours each to implement into the mod. =D

B.A.D. for a First person model but good as 3rd, the bad things, the left side of the reciever is totaly flat , stuff is missing, the fire sellector should be on the left side :/ not right, the carying handle is totaly wrong the silencer should be on instead of the flashhider, also the front and back sights are unfinished:/ oh another thing the knobs on the handle that are used to attach handel to the Ris rail beneath the handle are totaly missing O_o also wheres the bolt catch on the left side? anyway ppl will prolly minus me, im just saying that the model has a lot of incorrections as a first person model :/
Mmm...The carrying handle is allitle off. First off, considering this is an M4 and not another AR-15 with an A2 upper receiver the carrying handle should be detachable and not fixed like this one. The design of the carrying handle is also very deformed, the ejection port is a little to wide and the magrelease and the bolt-catch is missing. But i guess this is an unfinished model so i guess things will change.
