A year after the events of CoP the work of the Sakharov field laboratory is resumed through the efforts of the Institute. Monolith units were spotted on Yantar, and Strelok, officially listed as a scientific adviser, but de facto being the main field agent of the of the Institute, returns to the Zone to investigate the situation.
