Shieldwall Song (previously named Armor Mod) is a total conversion rework for Viking Conquest that merges new gameplay mechanics such as freelancer, alongside new armors, visuals, settlements scenes, and animations having also integrated all the submods and addons made by the community such as Balance Mod 13, expanding the roleplay experience in countless ways.

Scripting Changes:
Honorable discharge dialog if player chooses to retire from service and has +40 relationship points with lord so you will have the ability to keep the last tier equipment if you accomplish this requirements (remember that leaving for vacation and doing extra stuff that gives xp will count as progress won as a soldier when you return)
New Freelancer loot menu with new trigger efects that have impact on reputation,renown and gold earned
New dialog with the ability to ask your commander if he can change change you to another troop division (at lord's consideration)
A new trigger has been made that separates the promotion code from the pay-day that checks every evening if the player can upgrade so he will not have to wait the whole week for the new equipment
Reworked Payment to be the same as a normal troop instead of x10 for balancing purpose
Neutral factions relations restored when retiring an army (now other factions will not mistake you as a deserter)
If lord party isn't low you will have access to a Phsycian, Weaponsmith and Armorer so you will not need to leave the party
A script that makes the lord's enlistment dialog option and commander report of the wage to fit the actually fit the new wage system of a normal troop
Added the dialog option that plays on charisma, persuation and relationship points you have with your liege in order to convice him to make truce or war to another faction (with enought skill points the player could trigger some historical conflicts such as the norse lords of frisia vs danmark)
Graphics changes:
New Terrain Borders for Mountains, Plain and Snowy Scenes
New Polished Landscapes that adresses the issues of the white texture wind you reported, besides that some winter textures have been made alongside new tree meshes that doesn't populate the entire battlefield
New Menus texture meshes for Freelancer
New UI textures
Redid six villages scenes to fit more the map terrain they are in
Fixed some .Lods issues on armor and added some helmet textures
Added some new animations
Gameplay Enhancements:
Introduction of Freelancer mode with sea battles.
Added the ability to return fiefs.
Visual and Auditory Upgrades:
New scenes for castles and villages in Frisia, Danmark, Northvegr, Wessex and Laithlind.
Reworked Polished Landscapes with new grass meshes.
Map inclination, textures, and icon meshes underwent significant reworking.
Addition of new loadscreens for an immersive experience.
Inclusion of new sounds and music for enhanced ambiance.
Reworked war scripts and adjusted faction ownership of some fiefs.
Introduction of new particles and animations.
Weapon and Armor Overhauls:
Revamped axes, spears, and throwing weapons.
Shortened the length of Irish swords for balanced combat.
Redesigned spangelhelms and broa helmet.
Added leather and mail coifs, new normal mail, and leather meshes with a fresh texture.
Introduction of one short and two Angle tunics.
New belt variations for 6 Angle Chainmails.
Added 1 short and 5 Britons tunic variations for light armor.
Inclusion of 1 aketon chainmail variation.
Addition of scales for Briton nobles.
Introduced 1 short and 5 new Frisian tunics.
Added 4 generic chainmail sets for variation.
Inclusion of 3 new gambeson models.
Crossed belts for the Svear Mail.
Added 8 new bandit armor sets.

Four short Norse tunics added.
Distinct necklines introduced for 4 Norse tunics.
Reworked pelts for light armors.
New pictish hood, 3 painted bodies, and a whole set of optimized gambesons.
Changed the helmet mail texture
Combat Adjustments:
Chance to capture a ship decreased from 99% to 60%.
Players and NPCs now have a 10% chance of decapitation when killing an enemy (previously 0%)

hey man i love your mods, all clothes fit perfectly both men and women(should add the breast protrusions/bulge for the women's armor / clothes, so that we can see the difference between men and women), but can you make separate version(without VC balanced mod 13)for Vanilla VC, i just want to play Vanilla VC with this mods,
btw are you going to update the scale lorica, orm lorica and thor armor(all rare armor)?
i get crashes, about every 20 minutes. pls help!

In winter is grass and everything when i enter most of locations like in "no-winter". Why? :(
Great job on the mod, but why is everything so dark? I can hardly see anything at a distance. Also is there any chance of reworks happening for Irish/Pictish Gambesons? They seem to be the only armors that still have the shoulder pads and large chest.
