Not to be rude but that's pretty lazy to just use another game's model as your "Weapons platform"

A perfectly legitimate gripe; I'm surprised that no one voiced it earlier.

Two things I'd like to mention though:
1) If I had not ported this model into 3ds max, I would have just modelled it myself - The texture would not have been of the same quality, but the model would have been essentially the same.

2) The porting of models is not without precedent; I've seen plenty of models ported from Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds to EAW and vice-versa, and car models are often ported from the Codemasters F1 games to better racing sims such as rFactor and Geoff Crammond's GP4.

As I said above, your point is a good one, and I'm sorry that instead of saying so, someone has gone and down-voted your post.

Description

Here we have some shots of a WIP, the Orbital Weapons Platforms.
Until now they were just beefed up Level 1 Space Stations.
The observant among you will notice that they are the TEC Starbases from SOASE.
Forums.elementalgame.com is the link to the page with the tool needed to do that.
And thanks to Warb_Null, who pointed out what should have been obvious, thereby saving me jours of work.

In the second screenshot - Top View - the Red rings are where I will be mounting Turbolaser turrets. (On the underside of those corners)
And the Yellow rings are where I will be mounting Anti-Fighter cannons.
(And they WILL be rotating turrets)
