Denmark:
Nazi Germany occupied Denmark on 9 April 1940. German invasion lasted only approximately 6 hours. Danish infantry was denied permission to deploy or prepare defensive positions. However small skirmishes were fought around Jutland between Germany and Denmark.
Occupation ended on 5 May 1945.
Norway:
Occupation of Norway started on 9 April 1940 and ended after capitulation of Germany on 8 April 1945.
Allied forces came to help Norway but they had to leave the country because of invasion of France.
Norwegians with Allied forces had many smaller and bigger operations against German forces.
In the northern Norway German forces experienced throughout the war first defeat in Battle of Narvik.
Finland:
Soviet union started a war against Finland on 30 November 1939. Winter war ended 105 days later on Moscow peace treaty. Soviet union started second war against Finland on 1941. It was conducted at the same time as German Operation Barbarossa. Finnish and German troops progressed a long way to the Soviet Union. however, war ate the German forces and the Soviet Union began to advance on all fronts.
Continuation war ended with the Moscow Armistice Agreement on 19 September 1944.
