Return to Jurassic Park is a mod for the 1998 PC game "Trespasser" set on Isla Nublar several years after the events of the first film. Running on an upgraded Trespasser engine, players will get to explore the abandoned facilities through nine expansive levels covering the entire island, while at the same time searching for weapons and supplies as well as solving challenging puzzles; encounter a wide range of dinosaurs, from the tiny compsognathus to the massive aquatic tylosaurus; and uncover a story unlike any previously presented in a Trespasser mod.

I have a question, are you gonna be upgradeing the animations or mechanics of the dinos?

There will never be a way in the forseeable future to improve the dinosaur's animations, as they are built directly into the engine and physics system (they don't technically have "animations" as modern games have defined the term). Not much we can do but try to prevent them from being wonky through a number of workarounds.

The dinosaur's behaviour will however be adjusted as best as we can - Raptors will attack in groups, herbivores will flee from danger, and adults will guard their young. In vanilla Trespasser, all of the carnivores were set to be 100% angry and 100% hungry, while the herbivores had no personality at all. I aim to use the extra behaviours such as Love, Curiosity and Fear in response to the dinosaur's surroundings in order to make them seem more realistic.

Description

Scattered throughout the ruined Park itself are many of these small, concrete structures designed to hold supplies, equipment, and animal care products. Dug into hillsides and hidden underground to camouflage their utilitarian exterior, many of these buildings have gone untouched over time due to their remote locations, resulting in much of the potentially useful material contained within to remain packed away in excellent condition.
