Well they're Spectres which is the same race as the faction leader, lords and player which the body is kinda of a shadow and they're headless xd

And the screenshot was taken in lowest possible settings and resolution (stretched which makes it even look worse) since my computer is pretty outdated now, at high settings shall look much better ;)

Will be player able to play as dread?
Dread Knight is just the name of the rank which is the top tier unit, as a race they're Spectres which is the same as the faction leader and lords which is of course also the player race since you'll only be able to play as the leader or one of the lords that you'll have available to choose from. You'll even start the game with that same equipment or maybe a even better armor ;)

This looks amazing! Each time I visit here I see more awesome stuff from you, keep it up! On a side note I'd love the ability to be able to create my own character, I know your doing this for the story, but one of the attractive options of Mount and Blade is to create your own adventure, perhaps an alternate start mode as a custom character?
I know what are the "attractive options" of Mount & Blade, that's why I said from beginning this mod is not for everyone ;) Maybe later though but not for the alpha version.
Of course a later version if possible, I'm just excited to see something like this for a mod for once, there's a few mods out there that have undead, but few are actually as in- depth as yours appears to be. Take your time, make your art, we will all be waiting patiently for the awesome. :3
