So a little over one year has passed since we announced our return.
Sadly we haven't really posted as many updates as I would have liked, however the good news is that this is not due to the lack of work being done on the project.
Progress has been steady with some pauses here and there (holidays and it being too hot to do any of this during the summer :) ) and we have been tweaking the mod internally with new content, balancing, streamlining and optimisation.
The only problem is that I have personally found it difficult to find the time to prepare a proper updates to post.
That said, I'm not going to leave you all empty-handed with this announcement, however!
Here are some cool screenshots and renders of something that was wrapped up just earlier this week:
In the new version, the Russian missile strike will now instead of increasing the amount of aircraft per rank have a different aircraft perform the strike for each rank.
At rank one the fictional Boar Bomber carrying 2 missiles wil perform the strike.
At rank two the Backfire bomber we have used previously will perform the strike carrying 4 missiles (previously 2 of these would fire 4 missiles).
And finally but certainly not least at rank 3 a Bear Bomber will be carrying 6 missiles will strike a location of your choosing.
I hope you enjoy this small update on a generals power, we're going to see if we can internally reorganize something so that updates will be posted a bit more frequent because we certainly have enough content to do so :)

Much work is being done to optimize everything, especially AI. Can't say how it will perform relative to other mods, but it should be significantly better.
as of right now rise of reds has a tendency to slow down even on 1v1 matchs plus i remenber how last year the devs said that performance will improve a lot,i am ansious for that,i wonder if easy ai will get nerfed or moved up to normal,contra and operation firestorm go way overboard with this,easy should be easy for when you still suck at the game or just wanna see how the units work and all,a testing groundor pratice place so to speak and normal should be normal,leave the hardest difculty for the hardcore try hards and let the rest of us enjoy the mod i just wanna have fun i am no prefesional player i am just decent and that is no crime.
AI will be completely reworked, both in performance, less cheat, and difficulty.
Overall, performance is way better in 1.9 thanks to optimized models and effects

may i ask if there is any main (official files ) for the 1.87 update?
Right now ROTR 1.9 is my most anticipated game for 2023! Even if it's just an update, no upcoming game makes me more excited.
Don't know if April Fools or a real update... However, if this is a real update, I can't wait for the next version and to see what you guys have done. This mod is in my top 5 mods for G:ZH.
Looking forward to the full version.
This is great to see. I love seeing the Tu-95 in media, so being able to use it to rain destruction will be fun.
OMG, the tank is a Black Bear, the plane is a Bear again,,, It's something like a Rise Of The Bears)))

Funny, because everything of what is listed here is already in game...
could you perhaps consider making the Medics helicopter a playable "character" so the ECA has aerial transport like the other factions?

Am i the only one finding the AI in 1.87 to be unbeatable at hard? i just get swarmed. 3 player free for all, it fights the other AI and slays it, depending on which one i am attacking. and then it just hits me with sooo many units that i cant survive. anyone else finding it to be super hard? even medium is very difficult to win. what happened to the AI in 1.87?

@mailstromX103 ROTR1.87 gives error after few seconds of game start mentioning "Technical Difficulties". is there any other working version?

Played the mod in skirmish for about 1 hour to test it; didnt like it.
The AI keeps throwing heaps and heaps of units at you even in easy and there is no way to swiftly adapt like in normal zero hour.
zoom in and you finally see your units, especially infantry, but then you dont see the enemy coming. Too much busy patching your defence constantly vs. planning an attack
