Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
A freefire zone has been established behind the border territories of the ECA and the Russian Federation in the southern parts of Africa. From the south, the Russians have set up a forward operating base across the river, occupying a small part of the main town. On the other side lies the ECA field operations quarters, preventing the Russians from overtaking the rest of the suburbs. Civilians have been evacuated and damage control is expected to be null. Both sides both have equal number of resources and reinforcement pads to control to add pressure to each other`s defenses. Close by the spawn basees are the FOBs, each with retrievable vehicles like Kodiaks, Leopards, etc. Both sides have suburban locations for infantry combat or easy access early game garrison. There are also open desert dunes for tank on tank combat, and additional flak guns are provided to prevent early aircraft rush. You can also find coastal guns to defend flanking maneuvers. Have fun!
