The goal of Resistance and Liberation is to realistically portray the events and actions taken by the 82nd Airborne during their stay in Normandy. Our initial release will follow the regiments through a campaign that mimics that followed by the men themselves. The campaign will begin with players dropping into Normandy in the early hours of June 6th, with the ultimate objective of capturing the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise. From there subsiquent maps will include missions based on other key areas after the D-Day.

I think this mod is a great Half-life 2 mod. And i have some things to say about the Sounds, Models, Weapons, Speech and i will add a Conclusion.
Sounds: The sounds in this mod are very good when it comes to the weapons. At a long range the weapons will sound... weird. And normal when you get close. However the "voices" that the germans is casting is horrible (When they cap) It does not sound good at all. Much better on the American side, it is alot better.
Models: The models is very good in this mod. Maybe the eyes of a player could be better otherwise i realy like the moddels. But i do think that the germans could have a accustomed outfit.
Weapons: There are 13 weapons selectable Colt, P39, Thompsson, Mp40, K98, M1 Garand, Scoped K98, Mg42, American Machinegun M1918-Browning?, BAR, M1 Carbine, K43 (G43). Maybe some more? But sadly i think there is just a little few. The mod needs some more. Like in Day of Defeat 1.6!
Speech: The speech are very smart in this game! Remember playing Day of Defeat and you could speak in your mic and evrybody will hear you? Well not here! You must be within a zone if you want to hear your friend talking to you... But the enemy might hear! It is just like in real life.
Resistance and Liberation was just the mod i was searching for... Morale. Stamina. No crosshair. No HUD. It is just great. Evrything is good with it but it needs more than just this. But keep it up! And i do recommend this mod for you!

My favourite feature is the in-game voice which is restricted to a certain area around the speaker, in which even the enemy can hear you.

Its a great mod with a few glitches and I want a new version of this.
A posetivley unique WWII Source-based total conversion similar to America's Army 2. No ammo indicators, no minimap, no health indicator...if you wouldn't have it in real-life WWII conditions, you won't have it in this total conversion!
Best mod I've ever played, better than most games out there. Definitely deserves MOTY 2010.
