Resident Evil - Containment, is a new total conversion mod for the original 1996 release of Resident Evil. It follows the story of Ghost, a member of the Umbrella Security Service, who were sent into the Arklay Research Facility to investigate a distress call. This mod takes place shortly before the events of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil.

Would it be possible to release it in a way that the settings can be saved? the rebirth patch settings reset to default every time you close the game.

My antivirus keeps flagging this as the Artemis! virus.
It's an unfortunate false positive. For whatever strange reason, the original Resident Evil .EXE file flags as a trojan, even the one from the original Japanese 'mediakite' disc (which this mod is based on). Just add an exception for it and you should have no issues.

Literally download the mod, unzip the folder onto your desktop and run the game :)

That's not normal no, you should be able to save just fine. Perhaps try running the game as an 'admin'?

Unfortunately no, this mod uses too many custom assets and custom DLL injection push the RE engine harder than it normally can be. If I made a PSX port, it would be VERY much stripped down version.

Your anti-virus probably deleted the 'REC.exe' file inside the 'data' folder as some AV's give a false positive due to the encryption. Just make an exception for it and it should work perfectly fine.
What a nice mod RE game, but btw Watkins, I just download the latest version of v1.1, although I can go to the helipad part (mean the back door of the mansion), then there are many weird situations, such as:
1. Don't have any conversation when Ghost and Tracy goes to the control room of the helipad
2. Don't have any emeries in the laboratory
3. When go to the new area of the laboratory (B5F), there are too many bugs of here such as the bgm.
Is it a technical problem or still not Ready yet?
I forgot to remove the door trigger to stop people going to those locations in v1.1. You got to see a sneak-peek at the upcoming route and locations for the other ending though! :)

Hey sooooo bit of a noob here lol, when i downloaded it and opened the exe it hit me with a run time error 5. After i extracted it into a new folder it hit me with a run time error 53. I read in the comment section to allow my anti virus to accept it but how would i go about doing that? Thanks for any help and loving the resident evil content!
Usually your anti-virus will have an alert or will have some kind of message regarding the file. Usually when you click on it you can then set it to simply allow the file on your device and it should all work fine.
Anything new in 1.3? Is there a smaller patch?
It fixed a minor bug in which you wouldn't have the knife in the final episode, which would cause you to be soft-locked from beating it.

I keep getting runtime error 53 file not found when trying to pick an episode. I already told my computer to make an exception on this file to run it but now no epidsodes load
Check inside the data folder, if there's no 'REC.exe' file, then you didn't make an exception. Runtime error 53 is literally because the EXE file is missing. Make sure you made the exception for it and you will have no issues :)
