Resident Evil 3(1999) Overhaul MOD "The Lord of the Necropolis" is created as a game like "Resident Evil 3 : Director's Cut". Resident Evil continues to evolve and then "Village" will be released soon. This is the project to pursue the origin of "Survival Horror" again in the world of classic Resident Evil. I'm thinking about ResidentEvil-ness. Why did Capcom declare RE's subgenre is not "Action", "Adventure" or "Horror", but "Survival horror". I have understood the original codes of RE3 and added many new features in concert with them. New items, new enemies, and new puzzles increase the depth of the playing strategy. This MOD requires more observation, consideration, and swift decision‐making than before. I hope a lot of RE fans can remember how they felt when they first played the classic series of Resident Evil.

I updated the Demo version. It is already downloadable.
I fixed the bug in which if you start the game, an error message is displayed. I also fixed the bug which occurred when the artificial eye was used without defeating Nemesis. I adjusted the difficulty of the game a little. It became easier to avoid zombies on the main street that you visited after you met Dario. The probability of "Nemesis with the Rocket Launcher" as a stage boss is changed depending on the number of times it's defeated.(0 Nemesis then 25%, 1 Nemesis then 50%, 2 or more Nemesis then 75%) Other minor bugs have been fixed.

Amazing mod! I love it! I have played 100% of your Resident Evil 2 Overhaul mod and I loved it! I'm excited to play this one. Do I need to install patch 1.10 for biohazard 3 before I install lord of necropolis?

brilliant mod. but disgustingly hard. how you're supposed to get past those zombies in the courtyard behind the bar without a cheat table i have no idea. you can cheese them to a degree by catching one with the knife through the gate but to stand there and do it to all 60+ zombies would take an age ....

Having played this mod a fair bit now and still not finished it. It's good, but it's way too hard. Nemesis speed and speed of attack just makes taking him down without ploughing through every healing item impossible. All the areas you could cheese him have been blocked off by barricades on them, and the ammo is just far too scarce to take out enough enemies for safe passage and also taking down nemesis, which means you must choose 1 or the other. If you don't take him down, having nemesis appear chasing you through every room just gets tedious, slowly sapping your heals and begins to border on the unfair. It becomes mentally exhausting to play, which takes away from the enjoyment. Decent mod but the problems mentioned above generally make it too frustrating, and as a result I much prefer your RE 2 origin of species mod. That mod mixed a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment, with a new twist on original RE2 which came across perfectly.

Thank you for your comment. I think that all the cause is Nemesis. In the original game, Nemesis had destroyed the game balance. Considering the first-time players, it becomes odd like RE3 Remake. It is the known issue that was supposed before the development was started. In the full version, the attack power of Nemesis will be lessened. I'll release easy mode too. I need more good ideas.

Maybe virtuoso re3 players like orchlon and wolfdnc will fair better with this. I am far from a virtuoso gamer but i do have a very high level of competence with the re franchise having played it since the original in 1996. An easy mode is a decent idea but I tend to find them too easy. Maybe a normal difficulty somewhere in between might be a good idea to consider.

I managed to take nemesis down once, but i had no ammo afterwards and was unable to deal with the greatly enhanced speed brain sucker insects afterwards as a result, which drained the last 2 heals I had as there's no way to dodge them as they're way too fast. I hoped the single shot rocket launcher nemesis drops would make the next encounter with him easier thus making my taking down of him first time worthwhile, but the damage it did to him in the next encounter was negligible, making it not really worth it. It didnt even drop him to the floor.

I know i've pointed out some of the flaws of this mod but its only fair that the good points are mentioned too. I do like it, i like the idea, the new layouts are spot on, the new item placememts are really good. The new back and forth routes you have to take are really good too, just like origin. I love the creative touches like the clocktower bell randomly sounding in the background as you walk through the back alleys near the start, that really gives it a fantastic atmosphere. Its just a shame that it rapidly descends into frustration lol.

WARNING, SPOILERS, Ive done it. Ive completed the demo. Managed to get 2 out of 3 nemesis kills not including the final fight. Didnt have any heals for the end but i managed to get there on fine and save just before, sacrificing my last first aid spray to be able to save just before the last fight. Killed him with no hits managing to get him with 2 of the explosive barrels, and using one of his dropped rocket launchers for the final shot. Nice touch with the end sequence with the missile. 1hr30 with a B grade.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with for the full version.

I gratitude to you for a good fight. I would like to implement statue-like barriers to prevent the entry of Nemesis. Nemesis relentlessly tracks you. But it depends on your actions whether it can keep track of you.

That would be a good level of realism. I have started a new game on the demo and it does get slightly easier to save ammo and healing items the more you learn enemy layouts and patterns of attack etc.

I can't get the mod to work. I install new biohazard 3 sourcenext, delete rofs 1 and 15, extract the mod, run from the lord of necropolis demo.exe. But the title screen is still the original with "original, arrange, etc" text.
I try to start the game and Jill is invisible and the zombie not moving.

I even try to download new Biohazard 3 ISO from internet.

How to get this work?

Please try without ISO. The MOD can be started without installation of the original game, but the movies won't be played.

Great mod, manage to complete it finally. It was tough, hell took me few hours to complete it. Please nerf the nemesis its currently way too hard and too fast. Lesser enemies should be great. Overall 8/10 well done!

I think Nemesis is too strong too. In the full version, the attack power of Nemesis will be lessened. I will add statuettes to prevent the invasion of Nemesis. I need more good ideas.

The brainsucker bugs really nerfed me. You literally cannot run from them, as they are faster.

I did eventually manage to get to final nemesis with fine health and 3 first aid sprays in tact.

Suggestions:

In Downtown...

The explosion that occurs just in time to save your a$$ if you choose to hide at the Newspaper office (if you go there before going to the Restaurant) may be removed completely. Also the fire shutter in the lobby might get closed again.

At the Restaurant (if you went there first) may be the same fashion. If you hide, making the gas explode might only burn Nemesis, not knock him down.

look guys i created new weapons sound for RE3 and i send it to komizo he ignore me and he dont respect my work , he scared from that sounds changed his mod somehow or maybe crush the game , i tested all my weapons sounds its dont crush anything even i talk to him to test by himself well he never do that

Hi Komizo, it is an awesome mod forever!!!!

I have a problem would like to ask for your help.

When I tried to do the new action "Back step" or "Side Roll", both are failed to trigger, Jill doesn't do anything and stand still. I think my RE3 version is SourceNext, and I then check my game setup by pressing F2. Found that keyboard map input doesn't have the "Switch Target" option, I wonder if it is the root cause the new action does not work?

Please let me know if I have missed something, thanks.

Usualy I come back to say thank you after trying a mod, sometimes donate. But this time I am asking what is this? It is permanently crashing! I can not progress after speaking to Dario. It´s always freezing. I tried it for more than 30 minutes. But no chance, always freezing or crashing. So f*** t**** s***.
