New CIS Droid Factory image - Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
We know we have not posted much for a time but this is because we have very little free time to spend on the mod. We hope this cheers you up a bit.

Looks like they converted a real factory for war.
Given that the only CIS droid factories that we (read: I) know of are the ones on Geonosis, it isn't entirely unlikely that that's exactly what they did. After all, this factory doesn't look a whole lot unlike the inside of the Okara droid factory on Balmorra (SW: TOR).
The CIS was largely composed of wealthy trade groups (Trade Federation, Techno Union, IG Banking Guild) who were already manufacturing or had direct access to manufacturing. So it makes sense that they would just convert more of their factories to the war effort rather than design new ones. Even in a civil war they were concerned with the bottom line.

In making the scenarios for the new version, can you make some where the Republic has a distinct advantage and others where the Confederacy has the advantage? Those would be great for both new players (as they are already winning) and advanced players (you start off losing).
Also, can you make the enemy AI do anything except just retreat to their space station every time? How about go on the offensive sometimes, or retreat away from the station, or patrol the map, or protect the mining stations, etc...
