Most Probably an Ion Cannon Prototype , Or a Predecessor which fires obsolete weaponry (obsolete compared to the Ion Blast) such as Missiles/or any other which uses Munition .
Thats my speculation .

that thing looks like it can pack quite a punch, tell me in TW some intel mentioned GDI still has a nuclear storage that isn't in use because of the ion cannons (back from the days of the allies) so will GDI/ allies be able to use a nuke? will this game be more like RA or more like TS/TD/TW
1) The Allies will have an arsenal, but it's officially forbidden to use them.
2) From the story perspective, we are here: RA1 -> Renovatio -> TD.
Expect a blend of those two games built on the SAGE (C&C3).
This is supposed to be a total conversion of C&C3... as far as the engine allows it anyway.
