Description
Lightning base defenses for Tank general.
Another interesting modding challenge. When first making the lightning units I was determined to make a random streaking pattern. A laser textured like lightning could never have the same visual effect. To get the pattern randomized I use an animated model with just a pair of points that slide around at random. The "projectile" animates this model at a random speed and attaches a jet's contrail (textured like lightning) to one or both points to create the random flow. No two Lightning strikes in Remix should ever be quite identical.
Thats really quite ingenious.
Actually, I have wondered about getting a decent lightning effect myself. Congrats on your very resourceful solution!
