Mod doesnt work..... game crashes on start up
Which crash, normal YR ingame or usual Windows Crashes. If this a Windows Crash which saying gamemd.exe is stopped and unable continue normally (or something like this i just transtaled from my language, i'm not sure whan english windows really say) you should try using Admistrator Rights and Compatibility Settings on RunAres.bat, Gamemd.exe, and Syringe.exe and be sure your antvirus didn't delete or move to Quarantine anything from mod. Syringe and Ares usually detected as a virus by some antiviruses.
Basically everything works...until you get the loading screen.... it loads like 25% then the game just shuts down and goes to windows
Are you talking about missions or skirmish (or both) if missions which ones?
I figured it out.... I couldnt get Ares to work the right way.... fixed the problem.... thanks
So... how am I supposed to install this?
It is written in summary page.
"To install mod, copy all files in archive to your clean Yuri's Revenge folder. Don't forget to backup YR before installing mod. Run RunAres.bat to start game instead of RA2md.exe"
Also if it doesn't works normally after this. Try using Admistrator Rights and Compatibility Modes on RunAres.bat, Gamemd.exe, and Syringe.exe.
@MustaphaTR - how do we make unique units for north korea/cuba?? Cannot make flamethrower/attack buggies?
You need to build their flag under defence section to build special units.
Hey great mod i realy gone love it but. when ever i Run the RunAres.bat Nothign happend (yeahs a CMD windows popup but afther a good 1 minute it closes and nothing will happen i aslo tried runasadmin)
You should try to use Compability Modes(98 or XP) and Admin Rights on Gamemd.exe and Syringe.exe too. This usually soves problem, also be sure your antivirus didn't do something wrong about Ares.dll.
I can also only launch the game with the ra2launch.exe (which is weird cause i can run d-day with the run.bat)
I've tried it and it still does not work! :( is this because it's from origin?) (also my anti virus did not do anything to it)
Not sure why, orgin version shouldn't couse problem but you may try to install on another version if you want.
Where can i get a working Ra2 yr Version?
Search in net there are lots of places that you can download a pirate version.
To much survey's and viruses i can't find a legit one :(
