This submod gives the "RebelShutze" touch to the American Civil War in NTW. If you have played my other Total war or CoH2 mod, you may be familiar with my unhealthy attention to detail with game mechanics. This mod is a submod of "North & South" mod for Napoleon Total War, which can be found here: Moddb.com

Mod changes:

- Scatter accuracy, effective ranges, fragmentation effect, reload rate, fuze type, projectile velocity and ammunition loads vary depending on the weapon used. Velocity and ranges are significantly increased. Carbines are distinguishable from muskets, rifles are distinguishable from smoothbores, breech loaders from percussion cap, cannons from howitzers, etc. Every weapon is unique and has a unique application. For example, some smoothbore muskets shoot buck and ball loads and out-compete rifled muskets at middle ranges, as they historically did. Every bullet, fragment, shrapnel and cannonball has correct collision dimensions and velocity. Canister loads are correctly modeled with correct ball dimensions and shot count. All timed fuze and solid shot projectiles can ricochet regardless of size. Musket balls, shrapnel, and fragmentation can ricochet. More shell types have been added and every artillery piece uses a historical ammo composition. Shrapnel shells are distinct from standard fuze and percussion shells, and expel dozens of small musket balls rather than larger chunks of fragmentation.

- Formations are added to many units. All line infantry units are capable of skirmishing and square formations. Formation shapes have been changed to help unit survivability and look more realistic.

- All infantry and artillery can deploy defenses.

- Fatigue and morale are changed to better facilitate longer battles but also be impactful on player strategy. Players will have to be extremely mindful of both, especially in multiplayer. Battles "can" be longer, but that doesn't mean they "will" be.

- Some unit prices are changed to better facilitate the ballistic changes. For example, 10-inch Columbiad guns are amazingly powerful weapons now but it takes them 5 minutes to reload and are not practical for most anti-personnel work even with explosive shot, and subsequently the price has been reduced.

- Projectile trails have been added back, and every trail's size and color denotes the size of the projectile. I consider trails as absolutely necessary for fire control in this mod - there is alot of stuff flying around and human players need to be able to know what is going on.

- Experience has lower thresholds but also lower benefits per level as this is a battle-only mod.

- Infantry unit size increase from 250 to 300, to represent 3 companies. Skirmisher and cavalry units are 100 men, each one company. Artillery battery crews are doubled in size, around 12 men per gun.

- National differences: Confederates have 20% more melee defense and 20% more morale but have 20% less ammunition than all of their Union counterparts. Confederate artillery and fuze accuracy suffers by 10% due to inconstant ammunition sources. This forces Confederate players to act more aggressively and prioritize morale victories over attrition victories.

- Unit rosters improved with more units necessary for playing a rounded multiplayer game. All infantry corps rosters have their complete complements of direct and indirect fire artillery, cavalry scouts and skirmishers.

- New period music and loading screens.

- Maps take up to 4v4 players.

- New sounds and voices for CS (WIP).

- Historical battles disabled. Editing 5000 units is a bit out of my scope of work, I try to have quality over quantity. I try to make every unit have a unique strategic use.

Can't seem to find the files in the data folder to replace. Nothing is being replaced, as there isn't any file there to match the name of the mod's files.

you will have to install N&S 2.6 first as per my instructions. This is a submod that patches over an original mod
