It was originally an AI created by Albert Einstein to fight Yuri, but then in Egypt, Yuri infects the AI with a virus. After some time, Nexus saw humans as a colossal threat to the planet and said his famous phrase written earlier, declared war on all of humanity.
The Nexus is a separate faction consisting of robots and machines. A strong opponent against Yuri, but that doesn't mean Yuri is powerless.
The robots are composed entirely of tank armor (terminators are survivable, and it's very difficult to shoot them with regular infantrymen. You need to bring tanks or something more powerful than bullet weapons. They are immune to radiation, psi weapons, chaos, viruses. BUT vulnerable to electromagnetic weapons. Technology? It's a mix. From the most basic - machine guns, tank cannons - to lasers and plasma technology.
Destroys Britain and Korea with a weather storm. And moves his isual intellect to Japan, where he starts building his army, destroying people who resist him.
