Re-awoken!

Hey everyone, That One Bullet here. For a while now, I have been privately developing the next step of the Awakening of the Rebellion. Originally made by Steiner Modding Group, Awakening of the Rebellion 2.50 released in 2010. After four long years of no support, I am here to announce the next step in the series. With the permission of Steiner, I will be continuing the development of the mod separate from them and give the mod the final version that it needs.

Using AotR 2.50 German as a starting point, Reawakening of the Rebellion will continue the mod's legacy for a strong story and event driven Galactic Conquest, complete with the Rebellion, New Republic, Empire, and the Black Sun. The mod will re-add forgotten units, make changes on balance and cohesion for a better user experience, and overhaul the Black Sun mechanics. Here are some of the key development points

Translation

Many of you have been asking for it, and it will be done! Reawakening of the Rebellion will release with both full German and English support! Along with that, much of the text has been reworded for more clarity such as unit descriptions and hints for getting the player to more easily understand the mod. Additionally, English users will be able to have English audio, while German players will retain the original German voice overs.

Galactic Conquest

In Awakening of the Rebellion 2.50, the Black Sun were not balanced too well. Galactic Conquest was an absolute pain to play as the Black Sun due to weak units and high prices. All of this has been changed. Many Black Sun units have been reworked and a great deal more tactics have been added for the player to gain the upper hand on the Rebellion or the Empire. Many more missions for the Black Sun are currently being designed and will further enhance that side of the story.
Also, a new Galactic Conquest mode is in the works. Each faction will start with only a few planets and will have to work through neutral pirate forces to conquer the galaxy

Balance

As stated before, a large emphasis is being put on balancing the game. Many units are being reworked in terms of their roles. Various ships and ground forces now have new abilities which allows new strategies to be formed around them. Much of the shipyard system is being reworked for better user clarity and balance. The plan here is for each unit to have a distinct purpose while still keeping almost every unit previously in the mod along with adding a few new units to fill the gaps...

Speaking of which, I will leave you all with a small teaser of a new unit added into the game. I wonder how its going to be used?

Currently, this mod is being done as a solo project. There is currently no release date, but updates will be made very often, usually in video format. I am currently looking for modelers and animators ONLY at the moment. If you love this mod and have modeled or animated for Forces of Corruption before, feel free to PM me.
