Real War is a total conversion for C&C Generals Zero Hour, it's goal is to create gameplay that would feel much more like a real action rather then a clash of toys, staying at the same time competitive game. With realistic units, realistic FX, and realistic tactics we intend to create RTS experience of authenticity level never seen before. The sides include US Army, Armed forces of Russian Federation, and Chinese People's Liberation Army. Each with unique units, buildings and upgrades.
This is one of those tech gap fills i was talking
about. This M1 upgrade, as the late game tank
replacement for US army, is a compilation of some
TUSK elements and firepower upgrade. We have
decided to call it M1A2E.
More cage mesh would be nice. Im a HUGE M1 fan
A cage wouldn't make much sense considering the Abrams is mostly immune to light anti-tank warheads that the cage is used for (RPG-7, M72, etc), and heavier anti-tank missiles and tandem warheads (which most modern Eastern armies field) are the only thing remotely useful against heavier armor, so it basically nullifies the usage of a wire cage. The only reason they're on many armored personal carriers/infantry fighting vehicles is because they're deployed closer to infantry and against largely single-warhead RPG armed combatants. The only reason it's near the engine block is because that's really the only part vulnerable to light anti tank weapons.
tl;dr wouldn't make sense bro.
which also makes me ask why not put some armor around the engine just like what the iraqis did with the merkava, which also helped the merkava greatly increase its field survivability..
No it didn't prove enough survivabilty
The Merkava is Israeli
No
are there more camo schemes for vehicles?
Unfortunately no.
But on the other hand, are there any? AFAIK US Army has only one desert and one woodland scheme.
