Reaction v1, released March 20, 2009. Reaction is a third person mod for Half Life 2. This is the initial release of the level.
An pretty nice little mod you guys have going on here. The mods theme is pretty sweet as well as the third cam view which can be cool and annoying at points. Can't wait to see some more levels coming soon.:D
That picture kinda reminds me of bioshock. Did you base this of it anyway?
Yeah, I actually went to Google before you commented an searched Bioshock, Cause for a second I actually thought he took there logo and replaced it with his own title, lol
but I got too lazy to comment :P
p.s not that I'm accusing the mod of stealing or anything :D
Haha... all I can say is art deco is art deco is art deco?
Firstly, the installer is completely buggered and tries to put everything in C:\Reaction\.
Secondly, you need to delete the bin\*.pdb files and save\ folder. They're wasting about 16MB compressed and a lot more uncompressed right now! :/
Ah, okay, thanks! I've been looking for ways on how to kill some of the size on this behemoth...
As of the installer, it's supposed to autosearch for your Steam/steamapps/ directory... Thanks for letting me know. We're going to put out a ZIP version soon, but I think we may want to kill some of the bloat before doing that (aka resizing textures, etc).
Dear Varsity.. u suck... it installed automatically to steam folder
Odd. Perhaps it's a Vista-related problem, though it's hard to see how when the installer runs with admin privileges.
Dude! I think you forgot to remove VMF file from maps folder. I think you should remove it before releasing. Unless you are giving it away.
Ah... well it's out there now. I'm not really worried about people messing with the level and making it on their own, if that's your concern :D We might remove it from future versions just to save space though, now that we know it's not required...
Oh well. It's OK then :D
Whats wrong with this. I try to start it, and steam says "cannot start in offline mode". My area does not support high speed anything. I'm currently getting 28.8k and thats way better then it has been for the past month. I thought the mod was a stand alone. My steam computer is not where I download from.
Can you believe it. They didn't even use nodraw anywhere on the unseen areas of the map. That must be why it's so slooooooooooow.
Hi Have you given up or can you make a longer story awesome mod thank you
