Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.

Anyways, I was able to recover a few things from before the loss of my hard drive. With a few additional modifications, I've finished the Rothana Battlecruiser.

For anything not ported (IE: BF 2017 model), I use Substance Painter.

Wow. Amazing work. This looks like the perfect model for a republic battlecruiser—I like it much more than I ever liked the praetor. It might even be my new favorite cap ship... Have you decided on size/armament?
Thanks, quite happy with it myself. I still plan on rebuilding the Praetor, and I also have plans for a Rothana destroyer.
I plan on having it at 2.1 KM, with at least:
-2 concussion missile tubes
-6 ion cannons
-6 AA guns
-10 quad turbolasers
-2 laser beam cannons
-1 octuple turbolaser
So a little more than double the length of a venator, but significantly more powerful? I like it... a lot. How would this fair against a lucrehulk?
Any chance we can get a picture with turrets rendered in at some point in the future?
Lucrehulk will stay the ultimate capital ship (Before you get into super ship territory), but it'll fair a lot better than most other ships.
I'll probably post in game picture later.
Is there a super ship for the republic?
I was thinking of adding a prototype Allegiance-class for the Republic.
Dear Barlex, i cannot see why adding a prototype allegiance, as it was not introduced until around 3 ABY.
So it would kinda be out of place compared to time line, maybe add another ship that fits better into the time line ?
I have to agree, and I hate the mandator... I’d suggest again that you scale this Rothana battlecruiser to be a battlecruiser (~3k would probably do) and arm it accordingly—although I do quite like the current stats you have for it. It’s new and good looking and fits well with both super ships and the republic.
EDIT: Scratch all of this, I like it at 2k, but see below for other idea.
Or, perhaps, add the variant of the Legacy class with the two ion cannons on the *wings*... Not like the subjugator, so not strong enough to disable ships, but to drain out shields and have lots of firepower (legacy has like 16 main batteries IIRC—8 on top and 8 on bottom).
That's why I hate the idea, and said prototype.
EaW has trash pathfinding for really large ships, using a prototype Allegiance would help that.
hence, legacy would work in that position of not terribly large
The Legacy will not be the Supership for the Republic. However, it will be the best capital ship they can build from their main ship selection.
I personally don't think it's too outlandish to have a Prototype Allegiance. I doubt they'd stop at designing the Imperial-I.
Yeah, the Republic was already starting the Victory-II project after the success of the Victory-I and the ISD-I but then the war ended and the Empire took the place of the Republic, thus Victory-IIs ended up being solely an Imperial design, but had the Clone Wars lasted another year, we would have actually seen Republic Victory-IIs, but yeah, the whole development of Star Destroyers didn't stop at the ISD-I, the ISD-II and Resurgence-class SD being clear examples of this. So yeah, the Republic possessing a prototype Allegiance makes sense and adds more signs that the Republic was slowly being turned into the Empire.

An allegiance just isn’t anywhere close to the strength of a subjugator. Sure, it’s powerful, but the subjugator is a heavy cruiser/borderline battlecruiser plus the ion cannons, while the allegiance is still in the star destroyer range. If we’re saying the republic had impstar prototypes, why not a prototype Bellator?
Once you break the 3k length, pathfinding just falls down. Ships just randomly turn around, trying to avoid the smallest thing.
EDIT: I don't know. The Allegience has some pretty powerful cannons compared to the Subjugator (Not counting the ion cannon). But even so, I'm willing to take some liberties.
I see. Could they be made to ignore things besides asteroid fields? The multi layer script seems to do this to a certain extent...
Yes, this is true, but that’s because of technological advancements made over the 40ish years between the end of CW and the building of the allegiances; thus, it doesn’t quite make sense given the era.
Regardless of what you choose to go with, this is still the best mod in the game. And fantastic work again on the Rothana ship.

There were also some pretty strong ships by the end (Imperator, Victory-I somewhat), and Mandator guns could easily be mounted. But they really don't need to be as powerful as they were in the OT, so any old guns would probably be fine.

The Procurator is older than the Praetor though and like the Mandator I has absolutely ****** hyperdrives.
It was also a Kuat-Sector only design if I recall correctly.
If we're thinking about an "answer" to the Lucrehulk the Praetor I should be the one since not only is it a 4.000 meter long battlecruiser it also has a very strong reactor resulting in great weapon and shield power.
Fractal's Legator is indeed a late Republic design, but that class is a full-fledged light star dreadnought with 8.000 meters length and probably equal in power to the Mandator I.

What is the center bit for? Hangar?
That's exactly it, the ship has 2 hangars on each side in the cut out. For a total of 4, with a docking bay on it's keel.
So basically it is the same role-wise as the Venator, a carrier/capital ship hybrid, just bigger and meaner.
Will the smaller version with the two towers be added ? I can't remember it's name, it is the the same than this one but with not hangar part
If you mean the Rothana Destroyer (This guy: Moddb.com), then yes I do plan on building a model for it.
Will this replace the Valiant?
No, the Valiant will be the main carrier for the Republic. This is a special build only on Rothana and related planets.
Design-wise the Valiant is a beefed up version of the Venator with better armor, weaponry and different layout of the hangar.
The Rothana Battlecruiser dwarfs both the Venator and Valiant in terms of size and capabilities.
Essentially, the kick is, is that you have a max of 3 at any time, and they're pretty good at defense.
So you need to plan accordingly.
This is the mod i'm most excited for by a long shot, i love everything about it.
Is this ship in the latest build? I could not find out how to build it.
If not is it coming out soon?
