Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

These materials are rendered in PBR, how do they look with traditional shaders?
Good observation! I have managed to make them look almost identical with traditional shades. However, I expect Source 2 to have PBR capabilities. If it doesn't, I still have materials for traiditional.
I'm pretty sure it will, as far i know, CS:GO has PBR support already
Actually, not yet. It is still using a modified version of the traditional shader. We are still waiting for PBR. :D

PBR is a different type of shader for engines. It is the most physically accurate shader that has been released *for games.* That is why PBR stands for Physically Based Rendering. All you need to know is that Source does not support it and we hope that Source 2 will. All modern game engines support this new system however source is a bit of an oldy. :P
