Well you really want to fix those plates man it's supposed to take place in Canada not USA :P
The source of the virus was in the US because a family was taking a vacation to Toronto and they took their dog with them. and the dog is the one that started the whole thing. and the U.S. Government went to Canada and warned the Authorities and sealed the apartment.
