I'd like to thank all of those who put Pulse on their MOD Watch list and all of those who have posted comments on our material. I really appreciate all the support you guys are giving me and I can't wait to diliver you the complete product! But, in order for it to be a good product, it's going to take much time. I'm hoping to have Pulse completed by late Spring of 2008 at the earliest. As you may already know, I am a one-man mod team so it's hard doing everything on my own. Also, I don't have the best system in the world to work with, but your support really means a lot!
Down to business. I was away this weekend and therefor could not continue to work on Pulse. Every day of work is an important one and every day counts so you can imagine how that would cause some problems. However, this week and weekend is free and I will be doing immense amounts of modding! I am hoping to have more screenshots for you this week, and in better resolution because saving images as low-quality .jpegs isn't such a great thing to do. As I've been going through the mod and testing it, one problem still arises. The loading point between map 2 and map 3 will not work. It shows in console that you have passed through it but it does not change maps. This problem can be easliy solved by starting a saved game instead of a new game but you know that I want to try to bypass this error. Also, I am getting very large lags due to my immense amount of short surfaces I am getting with my maps, probably due to their construction in Valve Hammer Editor. I hope to have all these porblems sorted out by the time Pulse comes to you next year. I actually think that it might be a good idea to push back Pulse's release date into the summer of '08 due to my immense amount of off time during the summer. If I do that, it will give me a lot more time to work on Pulse - time I can really use. Still, I want to deliver the final product to you guys ASAP. Also, I don't even know if Pulse is going to be done by the end of Spring. It's all a guessing game. But, due to my determination to be nothing like Valve and their release dates, I'll probably end up releasing Pulse in Spring of 2008. If you think about it, though, that's what fixes are for, right? :)
To wrap this all up, I want to show you guys this new picture of a hallway leading to a maintenance room in the water processing areas of Black Mesa. This picture is not low-res and was not saved in .jpeg format so hopefully you'll find it better. See you all later, and thanks for watching my mod Pulse!
For your mod... =)
You are very welcomed.
