Pulse is a MOD for Half-Life 1. Pulse takes place in Black Mesa after the incident. You are famous scientist Gordon Freeman. In the beginning of Pulse, you are in Surface Lab A Security Complex, a lab and security station on the absolute surface of the Black Mesa Research Facility. You are working with your scientist pals when one scientist working with a hazardous radiation meter detects high radiation amounts coming from all over. They radio into the Administrator's office, the office of Dr. Wallace Breen. Instead of Breen answering, they pick up a remote conversation between Breen and an unknown voice. "It's done," Breen said. "The xenian crystal triggered a dementional rift between Earth and the boarderworld Xen. Now let's get to the surface!" The monthly Pulse update for February of 2008. This is what we've accomplished since we last updated in January. Not a whole lot, but some.

Hey, guys! This is Pulse's February News Update and Media Release.

We haven't really done much in Pulse since our last update, but we've done a little bit and we don't want anyone to think for one second that we've abandoned this project because we haven't yet and we never will.

So, we worked a tiny bit on our latest map in the past month. We edited our website a bit and tried to get it to look like it should on Internet Explorer (the site was designed to be viewed in Mozilla Firefox). We also took two new screenshots for you guys to enjoy and we've placed them in Pulse's "images" section. That's pretty much it. I've been really busy lately so I haven't really been able to work on Pulse much lately.

Well, that's it for this month. As you can see, it was a slow month for development. I've also been working on some Source mapping lately so that's been taking up all of my mapping time. I wouldn't expect to see much more progress on Pulse until early to late May of this year. I'll have a lot more time to work on Pulse as the summer vacation begins to peak its long-awaited head into the horizon.

Don't forget to check out the new screenshots posted in Pulse's "images" section and I'll see you all next month!

Well, the actual game will be a lot longer and some parts will be a lot harder than the demos suggest. The demos are just something to keep the fans occupied and to show them that Pulse is still being developed.
