Project HDTP is a High Definition Texture Package for the original Deus Ex game. The original in-game textures were of a very low resolution, some textures even being as low as 32x32. However, it was discovered that it is possible to increase the resolution of those textures to a maximum of 256. This has been tested in-game and we have witnessed the start of a massive graphical overhaul. Features: 1. All new remodelled and retextured Objects. 2. Objects will sport a high resolution of 256. 3. Brand new character models and matching high resolution skins. 4. Character models are more individual. For example each guard/trooper type will now have its own model instead of using the generic one. 5. Character models now have their own fingers (removing the 'mittens' effect). 6. Models that require animation will be full animated from scratch to compliment the higher quality feel. 7. Characters look darker and more moody to enhance the game play experience. 8. Vehicle models and weapons...
First in-game shot of the sniper. There could
still some tweaking before it is released, but we
thought you might like to see it here if you
don't keep up with the forum.
I came. That is DAMN awesome :)
So... does the silencer appear only if the player assigns such an upgrade to his rifle? Or is it static?
All weapon modifications in game are put on the model dynamically depending on which mods you have on your weapon. This works on all weapons.
That looks awesome!
this ought tide me over till DXR...
Not meaning to take away from the artist's excellent work, but having a suppressor on the end of a muzzle brake doesn't make any sense. I'm guessing the game engine won't allow for separate models, one with and one without the suppressor?
Just a little nit pick, great work all around!
It wouldn't look right without the brake. You could texture it transparent, which is what I think they do with the silencers, but it would just get more complaints than if it's left on.
They could have a really large suppressor model that's wider than the brake so that when the suppressor model is displayed it covers the brake and makes it look like the brake is not there
when is this project gonna get finished man
I WANT TO PLAY!!!
yer they sure are taking their time.. its taken heaps long for mods to coe out.. even the shifter mod is still coming even till this day,
i got a question and im curious to y no one else has asked it. how come a few of the hdtp gun textures r in TNM but the general public cant have em for Deus ex.like this sniper rifle for example
