Hello again! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Proe'aTalus Development team! We've got a small little update on our progress for your holiday present. I thank all of you who responded to the call for concept art. I think we've got a few dedicated people that can give us some concepts every now and then. If you're a concept artist and would like to help, it's not too late! Just send me an email! I'll be honest, I haven't made much progress on the maps. I've only worked on one map. The reason I haven't made progress is because I've been really busy with school, and because I've been trying to get a realistic grass effect that you can see fade in the distance without completely mutilating my graphics card. My framerate with all the grass is definitely better than when I started putting the grass in, but it's still bad (around 15-20fps). Then again, I do have a 7900gs. I still think I can get better framerate out of it, but I don't know how. So, if you're a mapper for the Unreal 3 Engine and you think you can help, send me an email! Also, the website is pretty much done. I just need to save up some money to buy a domain and a host. You can see a screenshot of the site below.
- SECONDARY MAPPERS
- Experience with the Unreal 3 Engine necessary
- (!!! Top priority !!!)
- Concept Artists
- Experienced Unreal Script Coders
- Voice Actors
- Experienced Modelers
- Experience with the Unreal 3 Engine preferable
- Texturing is a near must unless you are a phenomenal modeler. (Check out the Warm Gun mod if you want to know what I mean by 'phenomenal')
As you can see, the top priority is now secondary mappers. Because I don't know everything about the Unreal Engine, it would be really great to have more mappers on the team to help me so our combined skills can help push the project further.
If you have a question you can always send me a PM or send me an email: Dremth@gmail.com
I'm really excited about this mod, but it can't happen without YOU!
