Is this a render from the old CITV show Reboot by any chance because that show was kick ***!

This render is a bit weak; I would really look into doing the hair differently. And the eyes. And the mouth. The chin too... And the nose... And are they ears? Yeah well those too.

Nah, serious now, I think the modeller didn't exactly study topology dimensions in the human form first, and before you even try your detail pass that’s the first step. It’s a good start, but that’s all, a "start".

I give it 3 flaming Michael Jackson coffins out of 10.

we appreciate your comment and from what seems trying to help. But I would like to remind people that although our mod is of a high quality, at least I think so, we are modders and by no means are proffesionals, or know everything about the subjects we know. Also, this model is not here to be given "ratings out of 10" or your silly little michael jackson ratings, which certainly comes across very rude.

And, Im sorry, I dont see anyway it saying "Final john doe model".

Ah well. You writing a long comment about this model, you hate so, so much. Just goes to show you spent 10 mins of your life looking at this model you love really :)

I think I know a little bit more about what goes into a model of this level and work flow than you think chief ;)

Have some pride in your work boy.

Also, just because you are modders means totally jack. Whoever did the high poly should have a basic understanding of how topology works, otherwises hes missed a basic step in modelling, and thats for anybody of any profession.

Compared to your level shots, this is weak.

I'll suggest you refrain from posting shots of "WIP media" if you don't want to hear both good and bad comments, because to be fair, you WILL get them both. And speaking from a lot of experience you can trust me on this... Don't listen to the people who suck you off for little effort. If somebody has an issue with an asset, its more important you listen to those than to the 97 guys who sit there saying "wow amazing" who don't actually understand how said asset was made in the first place.

Take eerything with a grain of salt and just be happy.

Right you are.
You probably could have formulated it .. a little bit different but all in all, you're right.
I myslef thought that the head isn't exactly perfect whatsoever.
But I also thought, it would be a goods idea to put it into the update
for the very reason of getting some feedback.
(Good or bad, I myself prefer constructive citiques)
Anyway, thanks for your hints, we will, ofc, work on the model to make it as perfect as we can possibly can do it.

yh that was my point. it just came off a little rude. if you worded it differently it would be great constructive critism. but the fact you added un-needed stuff like "3 flaming Michael Jackson coffins out of 10. " just makes rude and thats why I got a bit up tight.

Other than that, your 100% right.

:)

Oh btw "Have some pride in your work boy." I didnt model this. I am a level Designer :)

Actually, having any flamin Michael Jackson coffins is a good thing.

Come on man, relax. I thought I would throw a little humour into the mix rather than your standard "Thats amazing!" or "That sucks!" post. :p

You guys should visit polycounts forums they have some awesome tips on modelling human facial structures.
