This mod by the Portal: Prelude Team is the prequel to the Portal game. Features include more gameplay hours than the original game, 8 chapters, 19 test chambers, 48 challenges, 6 advanced maps, a brand new storyline and more than 400 lines of dialogue.

Can you believe that Portal: Prelude 1.0.0 was released in October 2008? Turns out, it's 2023 now, so that was 15 years ago, or 29 if you count the pandemic. Yet, somehow, I've been coaxed into releasing one last version that includes all of the patches and fixes added over these years to keep this mod playable in the face of an ever-changing Steam platform.
I'm deeply grateful to the community and the players that still message me relentlessly after all this time, whether it's to praise the mod, provide ideas or feedback (quite late), ask me whether I'm working on a remaster or whether they should work on a remaster (spoiler alert: no), or less kind messages altogether of course. It is... after all... the Internet.

Installation
Extract the entire 'portal prelude' folder in your 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods' folder (or wherever you keep your Steam library these days). If the 'sourcemods' folder does not exist, just create it. Restart Steam. The mod should appear in your library under 'Portal: Prelude'.

Hey! Happy 15th year anniversary, Prelude! I still remember playing it as a kid back in early 2010s on a broken PC.
The mod is showing up in my library and when I launch it I get an error saying "RaiseJException: Method call Failed: Installs.OpenInstalWizard call had invalid argument (arg 0): is_array: true array_values { double_value 1.501500786211467e+19 }"
Anyone know how to fix this?

I assume it's you because it's the exact same message, but I see you also posted on the Entropy: Zero mod page with that same issue, so it seems the issue comes from your side of the fence.
ok I was able to run the mod, I just installed the original portal from the steam library, and as for entropy: zero I also own it only this mod works without any problems including the second part, I did not have to install additional games ..strange

At the end of the game in the service rooms, the game crashes after the character opens the door near the main entrance to the GLaDOS room. I ran the game three times and each time the game crashes at this point.
UPD. Had to start the last chapter over again through a new game. Thankfully this time, the game didn't crash. And if I start from my last saves, I still keep crashing. If needed in the future to fix problems with random crashes, I've backed up these saves.

Yeah, that's always been a finicky point for me as well. Usually, the save states are pretty reliable though.
Mind you, I'm still playing a patched version of the 1.1.5 release.
I have a weird problem where some of the audio gives me earrape noises or just cut off each other. Making it sound weird. Every other mod i played didn't have this issue. I don't know the issue that could be causing this.
anyone know how to fix the fov in Portal Prelude after it plays those cutscenes? Like my normal fox is 110 but it gets down to a gross 75 after those cutscenes for some reason
I also noticed the same problem with FOV display. This bug was in the old versions of the modification. To fix the display of weapons on the screen, you need to reduce the FOV to the minimum value.
That's not a remake? It a different story in Portal universe, right?

Нету вирусов, некоторые антивирусники имеют такое свойство, что жалуются на посторонние файлы потому что папки игры залазают в стим и сам портал.
ребят кто поможет установить мод?
Просто скачай портал 1 в стиме если нету тогда не сможешь ну а если есть кидай все в sourcemods вот и все! (НАДО ПЕРЕЗАПУСТИТЬ СТИМ)
