After a long wait, the first demo for the mod "Portal: Alternate" has been released. I am happy to finally get it done, but it's not the end. At least, it could not be the end. If there is enough support for the mod, i will happily continue it. I just want to make sure there's interest in it, y'know? Hey guys. I finished the demo a little while back, but i don’t have internet currently to publish it. Damn router won’t work. I’m sending this on my phone at a mcdonald’s. The wifi should be back on soon.
Hm, this definitely needs some detail to it. I dont like the floor button in an office, the black tiles also in the office. Now you should probably also remove the giant red texture that looks like a missing texture. Also the stasis chamber is floating. The old aperture lamp models def dont look like they belong. Only indicator lights and no signage when it comes to the door. In general, you need to add more detail to the mod.
Thanks for the advice! I changed the floor tiles, that “giant red texture” isn’t a texture actually, it’s a inaccessible walkway with red at the end, though i made it less bright. Stasis chamber isn’t floating anymore. I also added more detail. Thanks again!
how do i install the mod? what file do i put it in? thanks really like the idea of this and want to try the early version
You can’t currently install the mod, as it is in its super early stages. I’m just working on this myself, so progress is very slow. I could upload a new version of the first map if you want. You’d just put the map in your maps folder, as there aren’t any new assets made for the mod yet. Thank you, i appreciate your support!
