The main events of the mod will develop on the abandoned levels of the laboratory in which tests were carried out on various things that were later abandoned.
The protagonist, against his will, will be one of those things.
There will definitely be notes in fashion, in various variations, some will complement the history of the mod, some will hint at solving the puzzle. You can skip reading them if you like, they will only nudge the curious player to explore the levels. Perhaps someone will find... something interesting.
And now about the cubes. New cubes, 5 of them ready, these are green and black about which I already talked about earlier, and fresh ones - blue, red and light blue.
This is a kind of trampoline, he is able to throw up everything that touches him.
It explodes when it dissolves and is capable of temporarily turning off the fields in the vicinity of which it exploded. And also kill or maim the player.
It is a signal repeater and is used to restrict the player in some of the “worlds”.
"Worlds" is another development of Aperture Science, they will be described in detail according to the plot of the mod)
Some of the worlds will be quite large and the light blue cubes will be used to restrict the player's movement. Each of these cubes, when active, will outline a zone around itself that the player can visit. The first such zone is located around the portal-exit from the laboratory to the "world". Also, light blue cubes work in a group, if a cube falls into the zone of the previous active cube, it is activated and also creates a zone around itself.
It may sound complicated, but in-game it looks simple.
Also, one of these days, a new yellow cube will be ready, which for now I call the "magnetic cube". Who wants to can speculate in the comments what he will do;)
And after that I will probably release a teaser in which new cubes will be shown in action with funny music.

Logic-Wise, this mod is amazing! It doesnt look tooooo great but its just me. I guess its all of the destruction, random bts things, colored panels, and destruction which all dont go well with each other. The mod is genius, cant wait to see more from it :)
I find the cube idea very interesting and exciting! This mod will be cozy for players who play mainly for exploration. I look forward to hearing more about it.

When will you be ready?
I don't know when, but the mod will definitely come out in the form in which it will be ready. Development is unstable, I can't say for sure. I'll post something interesting soon.

Looks cool! Although my question is why is the 2fort spawn in here? Odd choice for a portal map and i can only relate to another mod that has to do with tf2 and portal

I am still thinking about the worlds that will be in the interdimensional portal, this TF2 map fragment was added for testing, I am still not sure if it will be in the final of the mod.
The idea is interesting for sure, but would the world have any reason story or gameplay wise? Or just serves aesthetic purpose? Having nice aesthetics is nice but I Think it should at least fit one of the other 2
These worlds will use one new game mechanic that was not available in any of the portal2 mods. The mechanic is ready, and one of the worlds with this mechanic is also ready. In some worlds it will be necessary to solve puzzles, some will follow the storyline.
Since you asked about this, what kind of world would you be interested in seeing in this mod?
Remember Stanley Parable? There was something like this but the player visits Minecraft instead. Sure, visiting Minecraft is weird but at the same time it works really well in the Stanley Parable formula.
Here I don't really know. I would say a dungeon in Destiny but that's just a personal bias because I tend to enjoy that game (and not sure the portal engine could handle that), I think anything that resembles the Stanley Parable player visiting Minecraft could work.
Maybe another puzzle game? Then you can mix in the portal gun mechanic with that game puzzle formula to make a interesting experimental puzzle. I think that would be cool.
Funny, the first thing I tried to add to portal2 from the new worlds was Stanley's room.
Combining portal weapon mechanics with another puzzle is not a bad idea. I'll think about it, thanks)
