Background: PDS is THE first and original wartime simulation mod that brings out the flavour of naval warfare in a real time 3D setting. Units, weapons, tactics all based on our present and future concepts of warfighting. If you like watching space operas and reading David Weber, this mod is for you! We might be restarting development (PDS V13) for an even more comprehensive tactical combat experience. A lot of mods out there borrow from us - we don't have a credits list but just ask around.

PDS V-12: Western Frontier development underway. This post tells you what you can expect in V12 and how we are going to support this next major evolution of the PDS battlespace. There will be new competitors, new technologies and new innovations.

State of affairs:

PDS V12 is supposed to have a new race, the Alessians, organised by FinalSeraphim, which uses advanced gravitic based technology. Their warships are akin to fast attack submarines relying on stealth, speed, and firepower to achieve victory. They are like the jet fighters of the WW2 air combat arena.

Secondly I have a lot of new ship designs in the pipeline, continued from my successful CFHod experiences in Version 11, and also new weapon systems whose high efficiency and rate of fire mean that no longer will we see "gun farm" ships, which are obsolete against Alessian grav cruisers able to boom and zoom them at will.

Thirdly I will be making a constant stream of videos and (re)documentation of the existing universe for my family and personal friends, so finally we won't be lagging in this department.

All in all, you can see that the recent crisis on this site basically did us a favour by getting rid of all the morons, and giving us a healthy boost in popularity.

Let it be known.. we might be victims of prejudice, but here in adversity there shall be innovation.
