The goal of this mod is to add a third playable pirate race to Homeworld 2, as well as implement minor universal gameplay changes and add additional ships to the existing hiigaran and vaygr navies. This mod is not meant to challenge or create existing HW2 canon, is merely for everyone's enjoyment. The gameplay of the mod is already complete and playable, and features a functioning pirate AI, so you can play against a pirate CPU in multiplayer! But, please, if you intend to replace in-game ships, please, replace the hiigaran advanced destroyer and the vaygr lance frigate by new ones. The new ships of the pirate race are greats and I think it's a shame that the only new ship for hiigarans and vaygrs aren't new models.
if i ever get far enough i would like to replace the motherships for the main races with something more "Smaller and Fleet Centric" over "Super Race Ship" if you get my meaning. so i could revisit those at some point. but the Pirates come first :D
Yes, something like in PTV mod where you just have a carrier for starting fleet. I hope when you do that you cloud revisit the new ships :)
But, for the Pirate, do you intend to replace other ships? I have nothing against the idea of having new ships for them, but I quite like that they have reengineered ships.
