This mod aims to turn Calradia (Warband's native world) into a fantasy one by adding several fantasy races, weapons, magic, monsters and new factions and cities. The mod is currently an open beta so there is still much to do and polish, but it is quite fun.

When I ask southern necromancers if they have any tasks, dialog box says "Warning This line should never appear" and game freezes. Can i fix this somehow?

make sure you aren't running an old version of the game, there was a version with quests problems that would do that, but it was fixed a month or so ago.

For anyone that Googles this and comes here to find the solution, if you so happen to be a necromancer yourself - then no you probably don't have an outdated version of the game, no it's probably not your fault.

Actually what's happening is the lord you're speaking to for quests is trying to offer you a mercenary contract - and in this mod necromancers are forbidden from being a mercenary. Anyways the workaround is don't ask for tasks from lords until you're a vassal or ruler.

Hi Phosphor, I love your work but I seem to have a bit of a problem when using my necromancer character, I previously had a v150 character and started with a new one like you had mentioned. However, I'm unable to use my necromancy skill nor do I see a stat option in the character menu. I'm probably missing something but I'd appreciate your help immensely. Thank you!

Necromancers start with Necromancy skill already at 7 but its a hidden skill now. Assuming you even selected necromancer class, it is already set up for you, with you not needing to pump stats into intelligence in order to pump up Necromancy from 2 like before. Go to camp menu: actions: use my necromancy skill to see all the different types of summonables. It is not something you can dynamically add -- you either start the game as a necromancer, taking the penalties as well as the benefits, or you're not a necromancer, but you no longer can add to necromancer skill to try to dynamically add necromancer class sometime later. Its all or nothing now.

Stop choosing necromancer class then. Pick something not a necromancer and you aren't tied to an undead face.

go to reports: faction reports page 2 (with prejudices): look on the left first column for red numbers as the relation. These are the values for prejudice against your current party make up by that town. You can adjust that by dropping troops that town's race dislikes from your party, or you can hire enough of that town's races troops at villages, or troops they actually like from other races. Of course if you try to waltz into human towns with an army of orcs they shut the doors. What sort of BS world do you think I run if I didnt shut the doors on a bunch of evil troops at not evil towns?

Yes.
It can run on 1.168, 1.172, or 1.173
It cannot run on 1.158 or older. You should use English language interface and toggle ON "load textures on demand" at Warband video options.

This is sooooo friggin buggy. I got the " warning; this dialogue should never appear " or whatever, when asking a lord for a quest, right? right before that, my game bugged out when trying to collect taxes from delthersam's capital, and the peasants revolted. two gamebreaking bugs in a row! that, or the B9 patch broke everything.

did you or did you not bother to update Warsword to at least the version from last year? Your earlier post was certainly showing the symptom for an old Warband version.

Other people don't have the problems you do but nobody will force you to stay. Unlike most mods, quests and tournaments are not much used but I do want you to resolve the missing writing on the left side from the output message buffer, which is always a symptom of out of date Warband version. This is because the weigh operation used to decide your encumbrance has not been invented in Warband 1.158 and earlier; it appeared in 2016 as part of Warband 1.161. I don't really care WHICH warband version after 1.161 you use, but before calling me lame etc at least bother to meet minimum requirements for the mod. Negligence cuts both ways.

Now as to your other comment that its a bug fest etc, you don't have to run the mod. Don't bother running it if you just want tournaments and a few quests; that isn't how you level up or make money. I can make money easier by trading; I can level up faster by many other means. What I see is someone frustrated that the mod isn't responding like they are used to, doesn't want to actually try to run the mod correctly, and then lashes at me after having invested 2-3 hours total into the mod. Go ahead and leave if that's you. Otherwise, we can try to solve this if you really feel like being civil; if you think I'm the one that isn't nice, you are the one that can't play it. It works fine for me, but I have different expectations and probably a different play style than you. Maybe its just not for you.

Its possible you're right and patch b8 is too old, and has some quest issue. One of the older patches did have quest issues. But here's the thing:
I can either fix the mods that waited 2 years for an update, and have 20 times the users waiting patiently, or fix this which has well you and perhaps a dozen people, tops, playing it right now. You'll have to wait. I don't have as much time as I used to, and its all been free. You I really dont care if I "lose" you; I just lose one whiner, plus as many as wanted AAA for free mods. If you're here in a month, there will be updates. if you're not -- I wont lose sleep onver it. Its not like I get more for more downloads. I get nothing but heartache from users in my face all day. Go pester someone you paid. I have work to do. Let me work.

I downloaded this exact mod a few hours ago, along with the most recent patch, and when I started playing it, I found out that the short term game messages (damage dealt, npcs killed/knocked out, etc) weren't appearing at all. Also, I tried to get a quest from a queen of some faction about ten minutes into my playtime, and I got a "Warning: This message should never appear." Is there a way for me to fix these bugs, or a newer patch to use, or should I go to an older patch or something?

Certainly you aren't playing with Warband version 1.173, 1.172, or 1.168; you sound like you have 1.158 or 1.153
So the first thing you need to do is update your Warband version.
Taleworlds.com
select latest patch and run that. Then the mod won't have thousands of lines of "invalid opcode" overflowing the output message buffer.

The second issue of a warning message 10 minutes later when you selected some quest is a totally different issue, and quite unrelated (and unimportant) compared to the real issue of you running a 3+ years old version of Warband.

it is at 7 and designed to not be tinkered with by the player.
At least thats 7 free points you didnt have to spend and didnt have to pump points into intelligence to get to 7.

I was about to use this mod, but From these comments. I dont know. Out of the comments That gets me is , the removal of the necromance skill to a different system to limit the player. I cant think of ever wanting to be limited. I dont care if I have to work hard for it, but at the end I want to be god. Summon an army, snap my finger kill every one, heal all my friends by just being in the battle. I want the adventure of getting there.
