Love it! and maybe a faction/ethnic trait to humans that could have an effect with certain human faction units?
That could be a idea! Again this is still in concept stage for 0.8 but thanks for the feedback.
Hell yeah, definitely better than default. Wondering what other races would fill the placeholders with except giants.
For now just Giants ;)
I like the idea about cultural background , like could give +1/-1 some traits , like choosing redwood elves would give you slight increase in some stats, choosing Bluewood elves you would have good relations with them while having terrible relation with the Redwood Nation Queen and the faction.

Michadr, you should ask Taleworlds to make you and your incredible development team a DLC creator for M&B: Warband. You guys truly do have the potential, as I've seen your mods #3 or #2 on most mod lists. I highly recommend to not give up on this epic mod, and keep updating it. It's truly amazing!
