Hello I am L()KI. This mod is based in an alternate earth with 3 main factions fighting for their survival The American Empire, Eurasian Federation and Remnant. It is NOT FOR PROFIT. A NON-comercial mod.
I'm having a problem with tree shadows. Don't know what the hek is going on.
Its a recent problem... don't know what caused it. Some maps that used to show shadows on trees don't show them at all anymore and then others like in this pic only show the shadows of trees on certain parts of the map.
You can see a clear line which separates which parts show the shadows and which don't.
Does anybody know WHAT THE HEK is going on here?
Help will be greatly apreciated. Thanks.
its because of the way the textures work, they don't mould with the terrain, they just go through it. thats why theres shadows on the flat ground
may be some trees dosent have shadows xD
Half-ghost trees !
It's like the shadow renderer had something like "**** this ****" halfway trough the map and just quit. It was already odd that it didn't render shadows on some trees, but half shadows? There's definitely wrong with your maps o.0
Another funny thing is that sometimes all shadows suddenly start showing after playing for a short time.
Could it be a problem with either the height of the trees or the terrain (or something similar?) as in the ground is covering or partially covering the shadow. I've noticed weird things like that in TW, probably since I was a noob at mapping for that at the time.
Nope. The other strange thing is that the shadows fix themselves once an infantry unit or anything with similar shadows is built.
Also only happens on new maps not the original gernerals ones.
or may be too much trees :P
it sometimes happen if the map is huge and have a lot of trees. it appears happened less on computers with higher specs. so don't really mind it.
