You need to move them to the very top of Mexico up by Tlaxcala, because that is the only shoreline in Mexico.

Also, I have a question. As the invasions dont happen (by mongols and timurids) if they are now playable on the map, is the gunpowder event removed? does that mean the late era tech like cannons, mortars, musketeers is not available?

Mongols and Timurids should be most aggressive ai factions in the game.

However Mongols and Poland expand fast which leaves Russia with only settlement and at risk of being wiped out too fast in early game. Russia a.i. needs to be set to expansive too, because they always just sit there at 1 settlement too passive. Russia should be expansive and aggressive especially towards Mongols (and poland, and denmark) mid game and late game.

The ai pathfinding in Mtw2 is very bad, Russia gets stuck trying to reach Helsinki, Denmark can never find Oslo, Scotland never finds Inverness or Dublin..

My opinion is that the ai should be rebalanced like so: should make it so that the main 'historical' empire factions that grew big and most influential over history, are the ones that are most aggressive/expansive - france, germans, russians, spanish, turkiye. This makes the most sense. Venice and Milan are too OP and expansive, unrealistic. Papal states also takes over whole map and too op. Milan, Venice, Scotland, Denmark, Portugal, Byzantines, Egypt should mostly be set to defensive ai. They didnt expand as much historically as the other factions I mentioned, especially not the small ones. Its unrealistic to have Milan grow so big and conquer France and Germany

When i played mod, timurids were expansive which was good, but they were too keen to be allies, or to make peace. But I think they should be more aggressive in diplomacy and try to vassalize everyone, same as mongols .

Scotland seems too powerful aggressive, like their army invading mainland Europe is strange, so their AI should be set to more defensive, to protect only their north region (and maybe ireland and wales).

But it doesnt matter I guess. The main issue was the swarms of rebel fleets!!
