New USMC raider textures with regular P41 HBT RELEASED as addons' texture mod! image - Pacific Theater (Stand-alone) mod for Call of Duty: World at War
A new authentic experience for the Pacific missions of Call of Duty World at War. This mod is also compatible with the Co-op mode as well. Please read the instruction carefully to install the mod, and we recommend playing with the OFFICIAL versions would be a suitable choice to prevent any further technical issues.
As mentioned in the previous image, the alternate texture mod for Makin Raiders is finally released, along with the "IJN3" update (for Japanese in Semper Fi mission) and a bonus texture mod in the same package. You can find them in the "addons" section or from this link: Moddb.com
As for the reason for creating this particular mod for the raiders, there's an actual debate as if the Makin Raiders actually wear black-dyed uniforms during the mission or not: Usmilitariaforum.com which suggest me to check on Jeff/J. Warner books on Navy uniforms.
According to the book, the Raiders are likely to leave their black-painted uniforms on the subs and conduct a mission with regular P41 instead.
However, we currently found only Warner's source that covers this topic (all the other sources we found are either not mentioned or heavily involved with black uniform photos and/or artworks instead). Thus, the new textures with regular P41 HBT will be introduced as an alternate texture mod for future updates instead, not fully replacing the old black uniforms in the Pacific mod.
