Also the M2 Bradly isn't the standard APC for the Marines. The HECU probably just requisitioned (borrowed) them from local National Guard & Army bases since they were deployed on such sort notice. It would be nice if you could also include the Striker APC which is the standard transport used for US Marines. But that is all up to you ... either way please keep up this godly work as its some of the best I have ever seen for the gold source engine.

I dont think I will add another middle-sized military vehicle to the game. I rather planned something small and handy, maybe a Humvee, but thats also not very necessary.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the infos! :)

Actually yea the Humvee with an M2 50 cal. MG or Mark 19 grenade launcher would also be very common so by all means if you are up to it please include it. :) If you want to avoid having to animate the turrets gunner much just make it the up armored version with one of the gunner protection kits.

Here is a good resource for all the turret variations

I don't want to break your wing, but I think ToTac piked a Bradley, mostly because there already were in the original Half-life

hm Some vehicles can be in there only old APCs alone in there would be boring..

Armies world wide use different kind of stuff you know. I'm well aware that it serves no real thing except for looking nice. (eyecandy) Still consider it.

In original Hl1 we had Trucks, Jeeps, Apcs, Tanks, Choppers, Planes.

As for the Bradley itself awesome work as always the quality is really impressive.

This would look amazingly detailed even for HL2. EXCELLENT work!

By the way, you were hinting at fighting this glorious machine. Will it just fire at you, or will it actaully move?

The plan is, that it is stationary the most time. It would not be very realistic, if it moves all the time, or even follows the player. Instead it will move at defined moments to specific locations, or maybe when it comes to a certain amount of health, who knows.
And thank you, too :)

Beautiful little tank, you got there!
Would be a pretty shame, if something bad would happen to it. >)

Top model. Only thing that sprung my eye is the tread which is pretty flat. If you throw in some polys for the treads to have some gauge, it will be perfect. Oh, who I am kidding? The player will have other problems than looking at the treads. :-P

Description

It were some hard weeks.. well, rather months.. but finally I can show you what drived me crazy since I created its first vertice - the M2 Bradley, used by the HECU forces you encountered in the Half-Life games.

As reference I used maybe one million pictures from all over the internet, not to mention that almost none of them gave me the close look I needed for so many details, so I had to improvise a few times. Nevertheless I would not have expected such a result. Maybe because I made a very slow progress and had to experiment with several effects to archieve the wanted overall look.

I am happy and I hope so are you :)

But: stand by for even more, because we are not finished yet! ;D
You dont expect this baby to just stand there and look awesome, do you?
Did you recognize its weapons? Well, take a good look, I guess you wont see them again this close! >:D

At this point I should note that The zxeno prophet agreed to work on the code. In advance he can use the final model of the Bradley for the Half-Life modification Blue Shift: Reassignment where he is currently also involved. So please, dont blame me if you get stuck at the place were you encounter it! ;)

See you soon...
