Common Issues Thread - Operation Dead Dawn mod for Battlefield 2

Ok so, we know of a few issues and I have a few answers for some.

1. Installer Issue with Vista 64 bit.
The current installer does not work for Vista 64 bit.
* Fix:
This is easily fixed, Program Files is just named differently. If you change the install directory to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\OPDD
After this then once Installed the Shortcut needs to be fixed
Right-Click the OPDD Shortcut
Go to Properties
Change the Target to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/OPDD
Change the Start in to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

Hopefully in the next Beta I will have the shortcut set to change when installed to different directories

2. LED light on the Type-85 Kit has a bunch of visual tearing.
This is because Battlefield 2 does not have a V-Sync setting. So when your framerate is high it causes that tearing.
* Fix:
This is slightly more difficult, but possible to fix. If your Graphics Card has a V-Sync Setting I suggest turning that on. (For ATI I believe it is called "Wait for vertical refresh") This will remove all graphics tearing but will still cause the light to flicker slightly (which actually makes for a cool horror light effect)

I plan to add and edit this post for more issues and fixes. Some things may not be fixable until we go in and fix it in the game. If you have any other issues please make a new thread in the Help section.

So far I havn't found glitches with the zombies. I like the standard and high detail settings for in game. Will there be more maps? I'm board of the dark kark, o well still entertaining. I tried the online server which was good.

I really want to add more maps, but for now it is just dark kark because it's a beta and the more maps the much larger mod size and downloading time. Maybe once we get another map we will be ready for an update on the beta to see if it is still balanced.
