Praetorian replaced by new Thranta image - Old Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Old Republic mod for Forces of Corruption. Exactly as it says on the tin.
I replaced the Praetorian because it lost it's role with the introduction of the Shrike drone and the Republic Gunship. (Go watch the video)
With that said, I am introducing the Thranta cruiser (model by me, still have to do the rigging, skinning ect.) that will serve as a heavy anti frigate cruiser armed with heavy turbolasers and missle launchers (the intrutions in the sides) It will also carry some aurek squadrons in the hanger located in the right side of the ship besides the engines.
The model is taking general ideas from both the canon Thranta images available and the Praetorian model from warb_null, combining them into my vision of the Thranta, the succesor to the succesful Hammerhead cruiser.

You are the best Geroenimo! I love your mod,It's the best Old republic mod at the moment and I think it will keep that way if you look at the others.

I must say too that your Sith space station could only be done by a true artist.The space battles are awesome,you have improved gameplay in ways I could've never imagine!I love all your work including this mod,for me it's the best!

The engines dont forms a "square", but rather "lying diamond". But other than that, its great work! :D
The Thranta engines do not form a square,so the form of the engines is actually the original.Here you can see what I mean.

According to the cinematic, Thranta has a couple of hanger bays in the middle of the engine block.
It's my own version of the Thranta, based on the canon Thranta ;)
I've done a lot of work lately, so damn annoying there's a eye destroying glitch that doesn't allow me to make a vid of it...will try to fix that and you'll see a video pop up of Old republic at war 2.0

Can't the Praetorian remain an early game unit which is later through tech replaced by the Thranta? I always loved the awkwardness of the Praetorian.

I want a large warship, not a canonial Thranta, and about the proportions, I like them this way, if you don't, then that's fine, this is the best "Thranta" model in the community, if you count out Warbs Praetorian.
Search for the Yuuzhan Vong at War mod. Imperial models are all mine, proportions are pretty good on that.
There's plenty of ways to make the model your own without mutilating the iconic Hammerhead design. Everything about the model looks great except the head.
The heads fine mine only minor detail is the engines they seem slightly large
Head seems fine, hard to tell since every image of a Thranta I can find is at an angle, lol. Engines are a bit big tho.
But most importantly......ACTUAL THRANTA!!! :D
