Allright lads!

When I first bought Napoleon I was honestly a wee bit put off by the ridiculous speed with which the various musket armed troops would bring their arms up to fire on enemy units (as it was super fast and robotic). I was even more surprised to notice that virtually no one had made a change to this robotic style of firing.

Therefore last night (after a bit of nostalgia) I decided to play Napoleon, and decided to address this wee issue. Therefore what I've done is made a very simple (yet effective) tweak. This mod replaces the Napoleon firing animations with the old Empire animations for musket firing (both grounded and kneeling); it will affect the light infantry, dragoons (not on horseback) and the line units (both regular and elite). I have run a few tests and it appears to work well - I didn't change any other animations, so your other units should be totally unaffected.

An example of the mod in action can be seen in this video here:

To Install:
- Extract the download to your Steam/steamapps/common/napoleon total war/data folder. Then edit your user.script (found in Users/"Your Name Here"/Appdata/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napoleon/Scripts) to have the following:

"mod anim_empire_units_mod.pack;" (without quote tags)

Hopefully it should run without any problems.

EVERYONE!!! YES this works for Darthmod and NTW3, just place the data pack into the data folder, and copy "mod anim_empire_units_mod.pack;" (without quote tags)into the user script

Are you installing it to the correct folder? Also, are you running a modded install?
