A new No Guts, No Glory demo, after a year of development. Was it worth the wait? Only one way to find out...
The No Guts, No Glory! demo version 3 has been released. Here's the changelog:
- Colored lighting! Yes, you've heard it loud and clear. The WAD now features lighting appropriate to the sector.
- New textures! From my own Doom Slayer themed textures to borrowed Half-Life ones, you'll see more and more new textures and finer decorations.
- Loads of bugs fixed.
- MAP08 to MAP11 have received great changes - introduction of new textures, new areas and most notably - accessible ventilation shafts.
- Ventilation shafts work in a similar fashion to Half-Life ones - they can lead to a stash of goods or require you to climb them to progress further into the map.
- Small Deathmatch support has been implemented - from MAP01 up to MAP04. I've tested it with Zandronum bots, so I don't really have a feeling if things are broken.
- Fixed starting point in MAP12 (wrong upload...)
This is NOT the final release. I've been sitting on this for a very, very long time, and I've had an urge to publish it as MAP12 is complete.
If you've got bugs to report, post them in the comments, or PM me a load you've found. Feedback is also submitted in a similar fashion.
Criticism is welcome and in demand, but I don't want to be trash talked for using ZDoom features and not stick to the vanilla features.
