Whether you love it or hate it, here she is! Blackbeard's infamous ship from the fourth PotC film has been recreated faithfully for Build 14. She will be available as part of the next patch, so watch this space!

It was in POTC? Looks kinda ridiculous from the back. Well, if she sails good all is forgiven. Are you running out of ship models, or why are you recreating rather unrealistic ships now?
Yes, it's from the 4th movie. It looks the way it does because that's how it looks in the movie.
Some people might be interested in her. Personally I find the design completely ridiculous as well, but there's people who like her a lot too.
Oh come on, she's not THAT bad looking. This version IS a fantasy ship after all. I still have hopes of someone making a historical version someday.
Ships of the 16th century often really had that riddiculous sterns, have a look at the one from the swedish ship Wasa for instance:

I think it looks wierd because it hols a single, tall window in it instead of several detailed levels.
Nice work on the mesh, although i think the textures feel a bit cartoony.
Don't worry, the model and textures are being fine tuned before release. I can assure you that we've already made significant progress in making the textures much more realistic. ;)
Trust me when I say, we're not sitting on our backsides making fantasy ships all day long. Our modellers are hard at work recreating historical ships almost all the time, but their projects often take a while, conversion is delayed, or modellers disappear without notice and leave their projects unfinished. On top of that, we're now even upgrading the stock ships to be more realistic, which includes modifying the hull and rigging. All will be revealed soon enough.
I'm sure we have far more historical ships than fantasy ships anyway.

No,it doesn't have flamethrowers. :P
We thought about it, and might experiment with it at some point, but for now there aren't any.

I thought I made it quite clear in the description that "she will be available as part of the next patch".
As L_S said, you can get the WIP version of the ship from that link, but you're better off waiting for the official release. It just makes things neater for your installation.
And much easier. I think you'll be happier waiting for the 100% completed version when it comes out in the next patch. :)
