This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.
O.k so here we have a rendered scene of a battle between Two frigates The bottom one is a Heavy skirmisher and the top is a Warthog. Both ships are currently firing opening salvos so shields are still present. The Skirmisher is firing its 50mm High velocity Rail-gun and has three such weapons along each side. These fire once every 10 seconds or so and do high damage. The Warthog is firing its side cannons of which it has 9 double barreled 100mm guns for each side. The Warthogs shields will fail pretty early and it will start taking hull damaged however UCI ships have crazy hull strength so its not such a big deal. The battle will have both ships strafing one another and they may also have missiles (unlikely at this time). This is merely a demo of what is to come and to get some feedback on the concepts. Also sorry if its kinda overly bright but it was the best i could do.
still aways off from having our own effects also no shields effects at this time.
also the Blue beam like effect will immediately begin fading and will only take about half a second to completely disappear so its only on screen a very short time unlike actual energy weapons which have a much longer duration
